Folgers Cold Brew Ice Coffee

Folgers Cold Brew Ice Coffee @EclecticEveryday

It’s so exciting to see my daughter grow and learn everyday. Because it’s been so long since my son was that small, it’s like we’re experiencing everything with her again for the first time. Her first steps, first words and all those other adorable firsts are just as cute and precious as my son’s were. The best part is that my husband and I get to share that joy now with my son too.

There are a few downsides to having kids spread apart so much. The main one in our family is the sleeping schedule. My son can never quite wind down at night. If we let him, he’d stay up to 2 in the morning every night playing video games, drawing and reading his favorite books. He’s been like this since he was a baby. He’d nap at night and then wake up to play around 10 or 11. He’s alot like Dad. My daughter though passes out about 9 every night. She’s like me. She will just fall asleep wherever she is, and then she’s bright eyed and bushy tailed first thing in the morning.

So to help keep up with our kids, my husband and I rely on coffee in the morning. And sometimes later in the day too. I actually live to make myself an afternoon iced coffee after I get my son from school. It’s a great pick-me-up and gives me a quick energy boost to get through homework, dinner and bedtime routines.

Recently I found a new way to brew my ice coffee by cold brewing it. I use this cold brew coffee maker from Primula. You add a cup of coffee grounds and fill it with water, then let the magic happen. You have to let it brew for at least 12 hours, but it’s worth the wait. Cold brewed coffee is less acidic, has a more bold flavor, and is so much better tasting in iced coffee drinks.

For iced coffee like this, I love to use new Folgers Coffeehouse Blend. It has an amazing taste and a beautiful aroma. You can cold brew it, use a french press, or your regular coffee pot to brew it. Find out more about how to enjoy here.

It makes a perfect afternoon treat!
