Puff Wrapped Caramel Apples
The holiday season is here already. Can you believe it? Another year just came and went in the blink of an eye. And now that the year is winding down, it’s time for lots of holiday parties and get-togethers.
Even though I love entertaining friends and family during the holiday season, it can be an incredibly stressful time. From trying to make the perfect holiday deserts, to buying just the right gifts, and then managing to divide time evenly between all my loved ones leaves me in a bit of a frantic state sometimes.
So when I want to impress, without the stress, I turn to quick and easy desserts like these puff wrapped caramel apples. These take no time at all to make and don’t they look impressive! Your friends and family will think that you spent hours in the kitchen making these guys.
I found htis recipe when I was browsing the PuffPastry.com website. They have many incredibly unique ideas for puff pastry, but this recipe stood out the most. I couldn’t wait to make them, they are so cute!
These were too easy to make too. To start, you just peel some medium sized granny smith apples and then spoon out the core with a melon baller. Then just sprinkle the apples with some cinnamon sugar. Next, you take your puff pastry, cut it in strips, and wrap your apples. Lastly just brush with egg wash, fill the apple with caramel and bake!

Here’s a great how-to video from Pepperidge Farm® on how to make these apples.
Puff Wrapped Caramel Apples
Prep Time: 20 minutes
Total Time: 45 minutes
3 tablespoons Dixie Crystals cinnamon sugar
1 tablespoon water
4 medium Granny Smith apples, peeled
1/2 cup caramel sauceThe
1/2 of a 17.3-ounce package Pepperidge Farm® Puff Pastry Sheets (1 sheet), thawed
Vanilla ice cream
Heat the oven to 400°. Beat the egg and water in a small bowl with a fork or whisk. Using a melon baller, scoop the cores out of the apples from the top, making sure to leave the bottoms intact.
Coat the apples with the cinnamon mixture. Spoon 2 tablespoons caramel sauce into each apple.
Unfold the pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface. Roll the pastry sheet into a 10x9-inch rectangle. Cut into 9 (1x10-inch) strips Press the ends of 2 pastry strips together to make 1 (1x20-inch) strip. Repeat with 6 of the remaining pastry strips. Cut 8 leaf shapes from the last pastry strip.
Starting at the bottom, wind 1 pastry strip around 1 apple, slightly overlapping the edges of the pastry. Repeat with the remaining pastry strips and apples. Top each with 2 pastry leaves. Brush the pastries with the egg mixture. Place the pastries onto a baking sheet.
Bake for 25 minutes or until the pastries are golden brown. Serve the pastries with the ice cream.
