With the holidays quickly approaching, I’m thinking of ways we can get together and celebrate. Our family is pretty small, so in addition to holding onto old traditions, we’re always looking for new traditions to help make our celebration unique, fun and creative.

Everyone in my family always likes to try new things. It’s so much fun. And the easiest way to try new things in our house is to make fun and interesting cocktails. When our family visits, we love to create and try new cocktails for every meal.

So for our next family get-together, my husband and I went ahead and came up with the perfect brunch cocktail. This one will be served on the day after Thanksgiving for brunch. It’s kind of like a Bloody Mary, only much, much better.

For this recipe, I use Clamato Original. Then I include cucumber, dill and spices, along with tequila instead of vodka. This makes a wonderfully spicy drink that’s perfect for a nice brunch. I’ll be pairing this with my husband’s famous breakfast tacos. It’ll be perfection!

Proud Mary Recipe


  • 1/2 oz. Lemon Juice
  • 1 1/2 tbsp. Cucumber (chopped)
  • a pinch chopped fresh dill
  • 3 dashes Tabasco Sauce
  • 3 dashes Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 dashes of Salt
  • 1 dashes of Pepper
  • 3 oz. visiting Clamato Original
  • 2 oz. tequila
  • 1 cucumber sear for garnish


Shake with ice until well blended. Pour into highball glass. Garnish with cucumber spear.

    In my opinion, the ingredients of “Proud Marry” are the perfect combination. My boyfriend is a bartender and I will tell him to prepare for me this cocktail as soon as possible! Tabasco Sauce + Worcestershire Sauce :))) Can’t wait <3
