Peanut Butter Pancakes

Peanut Butter Pancakes @EclecticEveryday

Pancakes are my kid’s absolute favorite breakfast item. They’re sweet, soft and perfect for little hands. My daughter loves them so much she can already eat a whole one by herself. And my growing son can eat 3 or 4. He’s already eating as much or more than me. I’m afraid to see how much he’ll eat as he enters his teen years. I usually save pancakes for the weekend  because I don’t like to serve everybody all that sweet sugary syrup. But I just found a new way to serve pancakes that will actually add protein instead of tons of sugar and is super delicious.

Because breakfast is the most important meal of the day, it’s time to give peanut butter a permanent seat at the table. With NEW Jif Breakfast Spreads, you can turn simple breakfasts like pancakes that were once smothered in sugary syrup into something a bit more healthy. That’s because Jif Breakfast Spreads have 7g of protein per serving. These spreads are a tasty and satisfying addition to any morning routine, whether it’s simple toast or scrumptious buttermilk pancakes.

For my pancakes I used Jif Maple Breakfast Spread. I just heated it in the microwave for 30 seconds with a little butter and then drizzled it over our pancakes. It tastes so good, you’ll forget all about syrup!

My son has become a bit hesitant about eating eggs every morning, so I’m so glad I found out about these breakfast spreads. They are such a simple way to add delicious protein to your morning to all your favorite breakfast items. I’ll be sharing a few more recipe ideas this week too. Stay tuned!
