Meatball Bites with 3 Dipping Sauces

Meatball Bites with 3 Dipping Sauces @EclecticEveryday

Did you know that February is National Snacking Month? This year it kicks off with one of the biggest snacking days of the year, Super Bowl Sunday, the day that we eat tons of chip and dip, yummy fried bites and of course, wings!

With the fast pace of our society, snacking is a necessity for just about everyone. I can’t say I know anyone who has the time, or takes the time, to sit down to a meal 3 or 4 times a day. It’s just so hard to make the time with all that’s going on in our lives. I know in our family, even though we sit down to a regular family meal every night, our meals during the day often consist of different snacks eaten throughout the day.

And even on our best days, our afternoon meal (we eat 4 times a day) is almost always just a snack. It’s also my favorite snack of the day, because it’s my son’s after school snack. When he gets home from school, he’s starving, so I have to make something substantial. His favorite thing is something with meat and bread (he is a boy of course) along with some fruits or veggies that I sneak in.

These little meatball bites are one of his favorites. They are so good, I often make them at dinner and pair with a simple salad.

You won’t believe how easy these are to make. You just start with frozen pre-made meatballs and some frozen, premade bread dough:

Then just cut the rolls into two separate pieces:

Flatten out the dough:

And wrap the meatballs in the dough:

Then just seal up the edges:

And place them in a baking pan:

Let that dough rise:

And pop them in the oven at 375° for about 12 – 14 minutes, or until they are golden brown and delicious!

I also like to serve these with dipping sauces. Here I’ve included three of our favorites, a simple marinara sauce, a honey BBQ sauce and a spicy sweet and sour sauce. All are super quick and easy to make and go perfectly with these little meatball bites.

Meatball Bites need dipping sauces though, and I’ve got three of our favorites, a honey BBQ sauce, spicy sweet chili and marinara sauce. I love making these with different sauces. It makes eating them that much more fun!

To make the meatball bites, I just used Rosina frozen meatballs and Bridgford Parker House frozen rolls. Both are available in your grocer’s freezer aisle.

With my ongoing partnership with NFRA (National Frozen & Refrigerated Foods Association), I wanted to share this quick and easy snack— perfect for any time of day.

Don’t forget that the frozen food aisle also has healthy produce, perfectly-portioned meals and a variety of ethnic cuisines and dishes to meet various dietary needs/culinary preferences. You can pair these items with fresh ingredients like pre-made salads for a quick and easy weeknight meal.

These look so amazing easy and yummy! And addictive. I’m all for frozen food – especially fruit and veggies. I save SO much time by buying them and they’re just as or even healthier. 🙂

You are a genius. These just look so inviting. In fact I just made my mom’s meatball recipe and I’m thinking they might work perfectly with this.

Seriously, you have managed to take the most gorgeous photos of meatballs I’ve ever seen.
