Green Bean Salad Recipe and a $100 Visa Card Giveaway

Green Beans are a must on our Thanksgiving table. When I was a kid, we always had plain green beans or green beans with almonds. In the past 10 years, or so, I have always made some type of green bean casserole using fresh green beans.

But this year, I wanted to make something unexpected and healthier than a cream sauce based, cheesy casserole. So, I came up with this green bean salad. It has the traditional slivered almonds we all love, some bright red peppers for taste and color, and sweet onions. For the dressing, I added my secret ingredients for green bean casserole: steak sauce and Dijon mustard. These flavors make a delicious tangy dressing that your family will love.

I love how easy this salad is to put together.

On Thanksgiving, I always have to wait for my turkey to be done, so I can add at least four casseroles to my oven, usually one at a time, because they all cook at different temperatures. Then I have a few pots going on my cooktop.

Having more efficient appliances sure would be a big help, especially around the holidays. GE Café™ appliances make cooking so much easier. The GE Café™ Double Oven Range has the most powerful cooktop GE Café™ has ever made, which will make boiling water a snap. With two ovens, you won’t need to wait for one dish to cook at one temperature, so you can raise the heat for another dish. And the GE Café™ Advantium 120V Oven is four ovens in one: Speedcook, Traditional Convection Bake, Warming/Proofing Oven and Sensor Microwave. It also has, get this, 175 pre-programmed recipes.
